Every production process has an impact. Whether it’s sourcing raw materials, processing recycled fabrics, or the craftsmanship of skilled hands, every step requires care and responsibility. For us, as a conscious clothing brand, sustainable production isn’t a bonus or a marketing tool — it’s the foundation of everything we do. Since we started in 2013, reducing our impact has been at the heart of our journey, fully in line with the philosophy of karma yoga.

Our Journey: From Raw Material to Your Yoga Outfit
Curious how your favorite Urban Goddess piece is made? Here’s how we do it:
We are a slow fashion brand, releasing only two main collections each year, in timeless colors that you can easily mix and match with previous pieces. All of our designs are lovingly created by our founder Marlene, working closely with our dedicated factory partners.
The process begins with organic cotton and/or Tanboocel fibers, which are woven into fabric. Each fabric batch is carefully quality-checked before moving on to the dyeing process. We only use GOTS-certified dyes, ensuring that no harmful chemicals touch our products.
After dyeing, the fabric undergoes another quality check and is then transformed into leggings, tops, and other yoga essentials.
CO₂-Neutral Production
We are proud of our ongoing efforts to reduce our ecological footprint. A major milestone came in 2021 when our production facility fully switched to solar energy, cutting CO₂ emissions from our production by an impressive 97.5%.
Thanks to our solar energy system, we generate over 280,000 kWh of green energy annually — more than we use ourselves. The surplus energy is fed back into the local grid, resulting in a saving of 538 tonnes of CO₂e (carbon dioxide equivalent) emissions every year.

Sustainable Fulfilment Centre
At Urban Goddess, we believe sustainability doesn’t end with producing yoga and activewear. Every part of our supply chain, from design to delivery, deserves care and attention. That’s why we work with partners who share our values and our vision for a more conscious future.
Our fulfillment partner, Active Ants, is a true pioneer in sustainable e-commerce fulfillment. Their warehouses run on green energy and use energy-efficient robots. Thanks to their innovative storage and packaging systems, they use up to six times less space than traditional warehouses. Their automated packaging machines also adjust every box to fit the exact contents — reducing empty space by 40%. That means less air shipped, lower CO₂ emissions, and a smaller carbon footprint.
Active Ants also uses FSC-certified cardboard and packaging that is fully recyclable or reusable. Their commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2040 perfectly aligns with our mission to produce and deliver consciously.
