Autumn is coming. I can smell it in the forest and it slowly starts to show in the color of the trees.

Even though I’m still enjoying these warm summer days my area is having at the moment, I already feel a craving for autumn-like foods coming up.
Porridge, banana bread, apple pie…

This morning I decided to create a smoothie that satisfies this craving yet suits the weather as well.
Enter my creamy white smoothie!

This smoothie tastes like a banana bread and apple pie hybrid and is a bit porridgey. In other words: it’s awesome.
And easy to make.

3 very ripe bananas
2 small or medium apples
0.5 – 1 tsp pumpkin spice mix (Dutch: koekkruiden of speculaaskruiden)
1.5 tsp maca powder
0.5 tbs tigernut flour
1.5 cup almond milk (homemade tastes best – I used the ‘With a Pinch of Yoga’ recipe)

optional: 1 – 3 drops of Stevia (I used an organic caramel flavored one I found in Florida)

Blend all ingredients until smooth, using a blender or immersion blender. Start with the lowest amount of pumkin spice mix and add extra if you’d like.
Depending on how thich you like your smoothies, add less or more almond milk.

Share with a loved one (or several!).
Enjoy!
